London Design Biennale Summit

25-26 June 2019

London Design Biennale's inaugural Summit took place between 25-26 June 2019. The Summit focused on ‘Resonance,’ the theme for London Design Biennale 2020, set by Artistic Director Es Devlin. The Summit addressed the impact of design: its power to cross borders, bridge cultures, and alter behaviours and societies. It looked at how this can improve a variety of major global issues, including climate change and international relations.

Highlights

Taking place at Google in King’s Cross and across two days, the Summit included talks that focused on digital resonance, political resonance, resonance in action, as well as workshops, surgery sessions and tours. Speakers included Angela Chan, Priya Khanchandani, Jay Osgerby, Justine Simons, Greg Williams, Es Devlin, Bjarke Ingels and many more. The Summit also hosted a reception at the Durbar Court, Foreign and Commonwealth Office and a VIP after-party at The Groucho Club, Soho.
