The 'Global Gateway’ represents Europe’s strategic approach to global cooperation, reflecting the EU’s core values of democracy, human rights and the rule of law. It is a template for how Europe can build more resilient connections with the world - from climate action to digital transformation, health, education, and infrastructure. This initiative is brought to life through a “Team Europe” approach, uniting the EU, its Member States, and their financial and development institutions, while also mobilising the private sector to deliver transformational investments.

The pavilion illustrates how the Global Gateway is “reflected worldwide” through tangible projects across Latin America and the Caribbean, Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia and the Pacific and the Middle East. Each project is a mirror of European values - smart, clean and secure investments that bridge the global investment gap and connect goods, people and services sustainably.

As visitors engage with the pavilion, they are invited to reflect how design - both as an idea and a practice - can be translated into meaningful, global change.
