06 March 2025 -  The first pavilions to be announced are: Argentina, Hong Kong, Poland, Malta, Nigeria, Oman, Peru, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Lebanon and Romania. Independent projects include works from Rachel Botsman, Melek Zeynep Bulut, Eco-Vision Plan, Oparanze Congress and the World Monuments Fund and English Heritage. Eureka projects include a collaboration between Northumbria University and UCL as well as presentations from King’s College London and VCUarts Qatar. 



First 20 pavilions revealed for London Design Biennale 2025

06 Feb 2025 - The fifth edition launches with a new visual identity by world-renowned design studio Pentagram. Using Artistic Director Dr. Samuel Ross MBE's theme ‘Surface Reflections’ as a starting point, the identity is based on the concept of celebrating the hues of human experience. Plus, this year, the Biennale is introducing £10 Youth tickets for visitors aged 16-25 on weekdays, facilitating greater accessibility for young design enthusiasts. Limited early bird tickets are now on sale offering 50% off full price general admission and concessions tickets.

13 March 2024 - Dr. Samuel Ross MBE, has been announced as Artistic Director of the 2025 London Design Biennale. The British designer and artist is founder of A-COLD-WALL* and SR_A SR_A, as well as the Black British Artists Grants Programme. Ross has set the theme of ’Surface Reflections’ for 2025, which will explore how our ideas are fuelled by both our internal experiences and external influences.

22 June 2023 - Turkey has been announced as the recipient of the London Design Biennale Public Medal, awarded last night at Somerset House’s Morgan Stanley Late. The Public Medal was voted for by the public over the course of the Biennale, which will close this weekend on 25 June.
