With more than 60% of the global population estimated to live in cities by 2050, urban lifestyles and systems are critical to reaching a more sustainable future. International climate and policy experts will discuss the potential for cities to connect globally and collaborate on climate mitigation goals. They will discuss the changes in policy, finance and governance needed at the city level to enable more sustainable and equitable living for city residents, including urban land use, circular economies, sharing cultures, long-term thinking on city development and citizen participation.
