The Silk Road Pop-Up

Teplo Store

The Silk Road Pop-up by Teplo Store is a dynamic space where heritage and modernity converge. Fashion, accessories, and ceramics crafted with sustainable methods draw inspiration from the Silk Road—an ancient network of trade routes connecting Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. This exchange of goods, ideas, and cultures has shaped civilizations for centuries, influencing art, design, and craftsmanship.

Since 2018, Teplo Store has been a driving force in Uzbekistan’s fashion scene, championing over 100 emerging independent brands — 95% of them women-led. For many talented designers and artisans, gaining visibility and accessing new markets remains a challenge. Teplo Store responds to this need by offering a vital platform that elevates underrepresented voices through curated retail experiences and storytelling-led promotion, helping designers stand out without chasing trends or algorithms.

Today, Teplo Store is creating a retail environment that nurtures talent, preserves cultural storytelling, and helps emerging designers thrive outside of the existing fashion industry paradigm.

For London Design Biennale, Teplo Store is taking a bold step onto the global stage, representing the Silk Road Pavilion with a Pop-Up store that aims to broaden opportunities for designers and artisans who boldly embrace their roots – reimagining fashion and inspiring visitors to rediscover Uzbekistan heritage via the collections on display. The Silk Road Pop-up by Teplo Store is more than a showcase; it is a dynamic space where heritage and modernity converge. The carefully curated selection includes contemporary fashion, accessories, and ceramics, each piece reflecting a deep connection to cultural traditions while embracing new creative expressions. For many designers, this marks their first opportunity to reach an international audience.

Rooted in craftsmanship and cultural authenticity, Teplo Store’s mission is to amplify the voices of emerging designers, empowering creatives to focus on meaningful design over trend-chasing, while also providing a trusted sales channel that supports financial sustainability. As a collaborative hub, it fosters community, encourages knowledge sharing, and celebrates identity-driven expression – positioning itself as both a launchpad and a sanctuary for emerging talent navigating the pressures of the modern fashion industry.

Step inside and experience a movement that transcends borders, where tradition and innovation shape the future of fashion.
